EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES IN O'NEILL

O'Neill Junior-Senior High School is a 7-12 school located in the city of O'Neill, Nebraska (population 4,000). We are a 1:1 laptop school that has a history of academic and athletic excellence.

O'Neill High School has been an "Apple Distinguished School" since 2015, one of very few in the world. OHS recently upgraded their facilities with state-of-the-art science classrooms, a new gymnasium and several other new classrooms.

O'Neill Elementary is a PreK-6th Grade elementary school with roughly 430 students enrolled for the 2015-16 school year. Our school is home to a fantastic staff that works hard everyday to help our students to reach their maximum ability. The school offers many ways to assist our students meet their educational needs with strong academic programs, special education services, ELL services, Soundsational Singers, Robotics, Developing Eagles Afterschool Program, HAL services and many other programs and offerings.

O'Neill Public Schools offers a PreK program as well as a new "Sixpence Program." The Sixpence grant will be used to provide high-quality services to six infants aged 6 weeks to 18 months and eight toddlers aged 18 month to 3 years at two different sites. Little Disciples Child Development Center has partnered with the school district to ensure that both programs are available to parents for full days all year long. The classrooms will be staffed with certified teachers to provide services in the area of early childhood education.

St. Mary’s School is a Catholic parochial school in the Omaha Archdiocesan school system which serves as a center for Christian education within St. Patrick’s Parish, the O’Neill community and surrounding area.

St. Mary’s has demonstrated over a century of Catholic Tradition, Academic and Athletic Excellence, and has produced hundreds of graduates. St. Patrick Church supports St. Mary’s Schools through endowments, scholarships, and various activities.
